As long as I can remember, I have been sailing. I have been lucky enough to have grown up knowing the excitement of a windy day, and the bittersweetness of the last day ice cream. I have learned how to set up a boat and tie a few knots, but also how to learn, how to teach, and how to work as a team. As a sailing student, I practiced my skills, but as an instructor, I got to share them. I love sailing, but I love even more the joy it brings to peoples lives as they learn. How to tack, capsize, sail a race. Green Lake is so rich in sailing history, and has provided this community with so much, which is why I am so grateful to give back to the organization that has given me so much.
